Die Vor- und Nachteile einer externen Diplomarbeit

Da sitze ich nun also an meiner externen Diplomarbeit. Das verlockende an einer solchen Arbeit ist die Möglichkeit direkt an einem praktischen Problem zu arbeiten und dies mit der nötigen Theorie anzureichern. Ein weiterer Bonus ist die zumeist ansehnliche Vergütung während der Vertragszeit. Schwierig ist jedoch der Spagat zwischen wissenschaftlichem Arbeiten und der reinen Problemlösung. Nicht immer ist es einfach Versuche zu machen, da mit der Fertigung Geld verdient werden soll und muss. Handelt es sich dann auch noch um Versuche die der späteren Problemlösung wahrscheinlich nicht beitragen sinkt die Bereitschaft für solche Versuche weiter. Für eine ordentliche Arbeit ist es jedoch nötig das Für- und Wider verschiedener Technologien zu untersuchen um am Ende eine auf Fakten basierende Entscheidung treffen zu können.

Seit langem nur gähnende Leere in meinem tollen Blog. Daher wollte ich das Schweigen mal mit einer erfreulichen Nachricht brechen.
Vorgestern habe ich endlich meine Diplomarbeit angemeldet. Somit habe ich nun bis zum 11.10.2007 Zeit mein gesamtes wissenschaftliches Können zu demonstrieren und mein Studium zu einem gebührenden Abschluss zu bringen. Vielleicht führt ja auch diese Diplomarbeit und die Tatsache das ich den Text in LaTeX verfasse dazu, dass hier auf dieser Seite mal wieder ein wenig mehr Leben einkehrt.
